Louis Vuitton : Paris Fashion Week (Resort Collection)

What dominates the idea of luxury in the fashion industry today, originated several decades back, when a young man; named, Louis Vuitton, decided to leave his generation old family history of being a miller and escape into the rich lands of Paris and start his own new journey.

Luck supports some, while despairs the others.
However this man was fortunate to have both luck and talent at his end.

The vast land of Paris had a lot to offer this young man who started off as an apprentice in a box making company. His luck triggered-off when queen Euglena placed orders with Louis for boxes.

At that time the couture worn by the society women, especially the elites were heavy, flowy, large and needed to be delicately enclosed in a box to avoid any wear and tear.

At this point the huge gap in the market was filled when Louis creatively designed the boxes in a manner that couture could be assembled in them without any harm.

Over the years Louis Vuitton and his generation of sons, due to their ability to sense social change and give it form, has made him one of the most famous designers today.

Starting off as manufacturers of travel trunks, the LV maison diversified their product ranges and now have become a major fashion player on the runways.

The 2016 set anew a grand opening to the new year with the Paris Fashion Week hitting the streets of UK.

Paris Fashion Week 2016

Resort wear

LA, one of the fast emerging fashion capitals of the world; was the location of the Resort Wear show 2016. The location had its own vibe of serenity paired with a little edginess and playfulness. This vibe was brought to reality with the runway imbibed within the view of a valley and models walking to the beats of the music wearing LV resort wear collection.

The Louis Vuitton house has a travel legacy associated with it, which was very much kept in mind as it was creatively brought alive in the couture. A sense of travel was also asserted through the hiking boots combined with flowy silhouettes allowing the ease of movement and comfort.

There was a bold usage of leather, especially in the jackets and zipper patchwork on the flowy gowns. Some of the floor length dresses were made out of leather in such a manner that it gave the appearance of silk.

The A-line silhouettes became the front-runners with a metal belt criss crossing at the front.

An effortless yet bold attitude was visible, not just in the clothing, but the atmosphere too.
Boho like clothing was inevitably visible

Gasquieres design philosophy was brought alive quite vibrantly and he set a perfect start to the new year with his awe striking designs which the fashion enthusiasts await for season after season.
