Fashion evolved very beautifully starting from the 1900s
till the 2000s.
During the 1900s, with the passage of every decade, new
styles and concepts were in trend that shaped what we call, the current
fashion. Modern fashion trends keep reviving the older fashion from time to
time and are inspired by them till date.
Back in the 1900s, gowns were very popular. Fashionable
women needed different gowns for their
daily outings with different styles. All gowns reached out till the
floor, they were designed differently
for different occasions- some were off shoulders some had balloon sleeves and
capes that reached out to the shoulders.
Paul
Poiret, came up with some of his revolutionary designs and became the most prominent
designers during that time.
the 1910s marked a big change in fashion, , the skirt length
rose to the ankle. The silhouetees created by clothing became less bulky and
more vivid colours were used.hairstyles also saw a change. They changed to more
practical bobs with smaller hair accessories.
Since 1920s nusted in with music and dnace, which set a wave
of simplicity in women styling. Most of the dresses worn by the women clinged
to the upper portion of their bodies and draped into elegant folds below.
Hip level waist lines became popular and skirts reduced
their heights further to slightly above or covering till the knee.
1930, lady like appearance was the highlight.fitted outfits
and highlighted curves and flirtatious look dominated the fashion in this
decade.
When the world war was struck in the 1940s , due to the war
uniform became very popular.
Women generally wore short skirts, padded shoulders and
tailored seams.women preferred these clothes as they were busy with their jobs
and war duties.
1950s was a decade wherein women mostly tried to copy
thecelebrities fashion syles. Teenage girl looked more mature and blat skirts
and stiched waistlines were a major comeback.
The pop out hats became very popular in the 1960s all was
worn by majority of people.
1970s fashion was more about comfort and the colours.
Bell bottom pants, animal prints and jumpsuits became very
popular.
In the 1980s, Madonna influenced the fashion world as well
as the music world. People starting wearing stretch pants, sweatshirts,
headbands and bracelets and other fashionable items mostly inspired by Madonna.
In the 1990s , atheletuc clothing and shoter skirts became
popular along wth brunch and pant suits.
Whereas, the 2000 saw a combination of trends from 90s and
were influenced by musoc genres like hip hop, pubk, pop!
Gradual shifts in
trend took place decade after decade and introduced us to different styles of
clothing.
